Unveiling of Philly McGuinness Memorial Plaque
The Philly McGuinness Memorial Plaque in memory of the late Philly was unveiled on Saturday last in the Park by Fr. John Wall. The plaque was excellently designed and made by Fergal O’Dowd.Our thanks to Mohill for the friendly and also to the members of Melvin Gaels who turned up the unveiling and to Enda Stenson the Referee. Paddy Fox spoke very eloquently about the loss of Philly and the strong bond down the yerars between Annaduff and Mohill G.A.A Clubs. In the Friendly Match played the highlight was the last score a brilliant point from Colm Hagan, his first score for Annaduff. Unveiling of Philly McGuinness Memorial Plaque on Saturday
Annaduff V Mohill Senior Friendly Match at 2pm on Saturday next December 10th in Annaduff followed by the unveiling of a commemorative plaque in memory of Philly McGuinness. Admission optional, all proceeds to Mohill G.A.A and Annaduff G.A.A underage player development.

Division 3 Final defeat to Leitrim Gaels
We were well beaten in the Division 3 final by Leitrim Gaels by 1-10 to 0-6 in Pairc Sean on Sunday last.Nigel Cox was Annaduff’s best player in a poor performance.Congratulations to Leitrim Gaels who were much the better team on the day.Annaduff’s only score of the first half was a pointed free from Joe Cox .Leitrim Gaels led at the break by 0-5 to 0-1. The Gaels outscored us by 1-5 to 0-5 in the second half with Annaduff points coming from Ml. Moyles, Matty Cox with two and points from Conor McLoughlin and Ml. Rowley. Despite the defeat it has been a very good year for Annaduff football. D1 Champions
Ml. Moyles team came back from losing by 0-6 to 0-0 to win the Division 1 final by a goal in Pairc Sean on Saturday in a very exciting and high standard final.The final score was Annaduff 1-11 to 0-11 for Melvin Gaels. Melvin Gaels started as they have been playing all year getting the first six points before Ml. Rowley opened Annaduff’s account in the 13th minute, points followed fro Ml. Rowley, Sean McNabola, Ml. Rowley and Ml. Moyles. Brendan Guckian back to his best form got the crucial goal in the 28th minute.The excellent Emlyn Mulligan got a point for Melvin Gaels before half time to leave Annaduff leading at the break by 1-5 to 0-7.The second half started with two Mulligan points . Ml. Rowley in superb free taking form equalised. In the 39th minute Gaels centr half back James Phelan received a second yellow followed by a red.Michael Moyles pointed two frees . Sean McNabola gave Annaduff a three point lead with a point from a “45″ in the 42nd minute. Peter McGowan and Emlyn Mulligan got points for the Gaels with Annaduff getting the last two points from Ml. Rowley and substitute Colm Cox. U16 Championship Semi final v Drumkeerin
Well done to the under 16’s who beat Drumkeerin by 4-14 to 1-10 in the semi final on Sunday. Best of luck in the final.
Division 3
We received a walk/over from Gortletteragh in Division 3 on Saturday which leaves us tied with Ballinaglera on 13 points with the same points difference. We play Aughavas in Annaduff in the final round of matches with Ballinaglera playing St. Mary’s in Ballinaglera.
Karl Foley
Karl Foley will represent Annaduff in the Kilglass Gaels/ St. Barry’s ” White Collar Boxing Tournament” on Sunday October 30th at Kilglass.
