Santa Dash 2023:

Our second dash takes place Sunday the 2nd of December from Annaduff GAA at 1pm.

We would love to see you in your favourite Christmas outfit – jumpers, Santa hats and even pyjamas !

Safety briefing and warmup at 12:45pm with the walk / run starting at 1pm sharp. Join Santa Claus in the Community Centre afterwards for Christmas songs, hot chocolate and treats. Adults €10, Child €5, Max Family €30.

Connacht Intermediate Q/Final:

Joe Coxs men came to the end of the road for 2023, in McHale Park, Castlebar on Sunday last. Darren and Ray Cox scored well for Annaduff in the first half, with an impressive 0-7 0-5 ahead. But the Mayo Champion’s only got going after the break with four second half goals that helped Kilmeena, through to the semi final of the Connacht Intermediate Football Championship, no doubt they are a great side and we wish them well. We are still a super Parish and are delighted to be promoted to Senior Championship for 2024. Also we would like to thank all the Supporters for travelling to the matches including the large crowd that attended the game in Castlebar. U16s Championship:

The Annaduff Ladies U16 won the Div1 Shield away to Allen Gales on Saturday last. A Great game, the sides couldn’t be separated after the full time whistle, so the game went to extra time the Annaduff Girls played some great football to get it over the line .

Full time score: Annaduff 2-18 to Allen Gaels 4-09. Well done to the management and all the team.

School Disco:

The Halloween Disco was postponed last weekend and is rescheduled for Saturday next the 11th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm Admission €3 Tuck shop on site proceeds in aid of the Annaduff Ladies.

Condolences:

Annaduff GAA wishes to extend our deepest sympathies to the Casserly Family, Fearnaght following the sudden death of John.

Our condolences to Marion, Aurora and Blanaid, son in law Ultan, Blanaid’s partner Tomás, grandchildren Ruadh and Fiadh, sisters, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, and their many friends. Annaduff GAA had a guard of honour on Friday outside St Marys Church.

Healthy Ireland & GAA Walkway Fund

We were delighted to welcome Minister Hildegarde Naughton, TD to Annaduff GAA on Thursday where she launched the Healthy Ireland & GAA Walkway Fund and announced that Annaduff GAA was awarded €25,000 for our walkway project.

Gotham Dry Wall Junior Championship Final:

The Annaduff ladies had a short trip across the bridge to Bornacoola to play Keeldra Gaels on Saturday last in the Leitrim Ladies Junior Championship Final. In front of a large crowd the Annaduff Ladies team put in a brilliant performance to beat Keeldra Gaels

(Cloone & Gortletteragh) by 2 points. Full time score: Annaduff 2-05 to Keeldra Gaels 0-09. Great performances all round, but a special mention to Ann Marie Cox who won Player of the Match.

A fantastic way to finish the year, with both the Men’s Intermediate title and Ladies Junior title. Well done to all the team and management of Stephen, Joe, Eveline & Ann Marie.

Condolences:

Annaduff GAA wishes to extend our deepest sympathies to the extended Devine family, following the very sad passing of Club stalwart, Peter Devine. Peter was a superb player when the Club was reformed in the late 50s along with the Late Paddy Fox. He was also a selector when Annaduff won the Junior Championship in 1983. Some great pictures of Peter following the success of our Intermediate team in Pairc Séan McDiarmada on the Sunday before he passed. We plan to do a guard of honour on Tuesday at Jamestown Church.

Smith Monumentals IFC Final:

Joe Coxs men became the Leitrim Intermediate Champions for 2023 after a superb performance in Pairc Séan MacDiarmada on Sunday.

With a full time score Annaduff 0-9 to Melvin Gaels 0-7. Well done to the entire squad & management team.

There was great excitement and celebrations around the Parish, as the team travelled through Drumsna onto Dromod and back to the Clubhouse in Annaduff.

A fantastic boost to our Club, to see us promoted back to Senior Championship Football for 2024, after being relegated to Intermediate six years ago. It was great to see so many of our young, up and coming players, with the clubs super supporters at the game and afterwards in the Clubhouse. The atmosphere was electric.

Our U20s were in action on Sunday when St. Manachans (Mohill, Eslin & Cloone) were the visitors. A hard fought out game with our lads turning a 3 point deficit by the 60th minute to a single point win during injury time. A super performance from all our lads with Glencar-Manor we will now play in the Final.

Santa Dash 2022:

Annaduff GAA Annual 5k & 10k Santa Dash and Stroll takes place on Sunday week the 18th of December at 12:15pm. Registration at Annaduff GAA on Wednesday the 7th at 7:30pm and on the day. Safety briefing and warm-up from 11:30am. The cost is €10 for Adults and €5 for Children. Please wear your Christmas Jumper. Our festive features include Santa Claus, Choir, Tea & Coffee and special guest appearances plus everyone gets a Santa hat.

ARD & Annaduff GAA:

We are launching our “Sponsor a square” fundraiser for our Astroturf & Walkway project in Taylors Bar Drumsna on Saturday next (10th) at 9pm. Please come along to hear our plans and ask any questions.
