Well done to our U15 boys who won the shield final against Kiltubrid on Saturday last. In a very well contested game, which seen Kiltubrid go into a strong lead in the first ten min. But our lads kept the great work rate to the bitter end the scoreline doesn’t reflect the margins between the sides for the first 45 min. The Annaduff lads finished strong with their fitness standing to them. A great credit to the lads to finish off the underage football for 2018 on a high note. Massive thanks goes to their mentors Denny Dockery & Gene Cox also big thank you to the parents for the support throughout the year. Dunnes Bar D2 League Final:
Well done to Karl Foley’s men who made it to both the League and Championship finals. A great reflection of the hard work and commitment from all throughout the year. Unfortunately the lads were defeated by Allen Gaels on Sunday last. It was Eoin Gill who got the Annaduff men on the score board with a point from play, Allen Gaels converted a point from play before Sean Duignan sunk one in the Allen Gaels net followed up by a point from Alan Glancy. In the 18 min Sean McNabola converted an Annaduff free to go 4 ahead. But Allen Gaels got their purple patch for the next ten min of the half scoring 1-03 from play. A point from a Sean McNabola free and a point from play from Eoin Gill left it all square at the break with 1-05 a piece.
The second half started with a point from Kenny, but Allen Gaels converted their second goal of the game inside the first 2 min of the second half. A free from Sean McNabola left 1 between the sides. Allen gaels got the next 3 points 1 from a free and 2 from play. But the Annaduff lads kept plugging at it to the bitter end with points from Sean McNabola, Sean Duignan and Frank McNabola. A super save from the Allen gaels goal keeper denied Annaduff a chance in the injury time to leave a full time score Annaduff 1-13 to Allen Gaels 2-09.
Congratulations to Allen Gaels as both teams are promoted we will be meeting again in the D1 league in 2019.
