W/E 2nd August
Senior Ladies; Hard luck to the Senior ladies who lost out to Fenagh in a very wet St Mary’s on Sunday morning on a scoreline of 7-12 to 6-8. Both sides did very well in difficult conditions with only three points separating the teams at half time 3-4 to 3-7. Fenagh took advantage of the wind in the second half and added a goal and point within the first 10 mins. The Annaduff girls kept fighting and were awarded with a goal from Niamh Mc Nulty followed by a great solo effort from Vivienne Egan. Annaduff girls added another 3 points from play to lead the game by 4. However the Fenagh girls struck back with a goal which was followed very quickly by another goal which left the Fenagh girls 6-10 to 6-8 ahead. Annaduff girls had a number of opportunities to close the gap but could not convert the scores . Fenagh finished strong and ended up winning on a scoreline of 7-12 to 6-8. Special praise to Aoife Shanley who made her senior debut and put in a fine performance . Next up for the ladies is St Francis next Sunday.
