Division 4 V Drumkeeran

We beat the League leaders Drumkeeran in Division 4 at a wet Drumkeeran on Saturday by 1-6 to 0-7.

This was an excellent performance full of work rate and no little skill played under very wet conditions.Cathal Cox opened the scoring with a point. Drumkeeran replied with three points in a row. Sean Duignan and Eoin Gill drew Annaduff level with points, with the home side getting two more points before the break to leave them leading by 0-5 to Annaduffs 0-3 at the break.Micheal O’Dowd’s kept Drumkeran to just two points in the second half scoring 1-3 themselves. Points from Ciaran McLoughlin, Sean Duignan (2) and a Suarez like goal from Dean Gill giving Annaduff a deserved win.

Our under 16s have 4 points from 3 games and play Manorhamilton in their final league game Annaduff on Friday evening.

Division 4 V Aughnasheelin

Minus a number of regulars we  were beaten by  1-12 to 0-4 by Aughnasheelin in Annaduff on Sunday. Aughnasheelin led by 0-7 to 0-2 at the break. Former Annaduff player Sean Ward finished 30th in the Limerick Marathon in a time of 3 hours.

Division 4 V St. Mary’s

 

In a much improved performance Micheal O’Dowd’s team were beaten by a point 2-7 to 1-9 by St. Marys in Carrick on Sunday. A goal from a penalty in the last minute giving Mary’s the points. Jim McCormack made a brilliant save from the spot kick only to see the rebound go in.Sean Duignan and Brendan Lynch scored the opening points to give Annaduff an early lead. Carrick then took over and led by 1-4 to 0-3 after 21 minutesa. Annaduff got the remaining scores in the first half from a Sean Duignan point and a Joe Cox goal to leave Carrick leading by 1-4 to 1-3 at the break. At the draw held in Cox’s, there was no Jackpot winner.The numbers drawn were 4,14,19,24. The 50 Euro winner was Doreen Ward.
