In a much improved performance Micheal O’Dowd’s team were beaten by a point 2-7 to 1-9 by St. Marys in Carrick on Sunday. A goal from a penalty in the last minute giving Mary’s the points. Jim McCormack made a brilliant save from the spot kick only to see the rebound go in.Sean Duignan and Brendan Lynch scored the opening points to give Annaduff an early lead. Carrick then took over and led by 1-4 to 0-3 after 21 minutesa. Annaduff got the remaining scores in the first half from a Sean Duignan point and a Joe Cox goal to leave Carrick leading by 1-4 to 1-3 at the break. The second half was an equally tight affair with Annaduiff getting points from Sean Duignan (2), Francis McNabola and Joe Cox (2) however the penalty gave the home side the points.
