Division 1 V Glencar/Manor

We were  beaten  on Saturday by 0-13 to 1-5 by Glencar/Manor in Annaduff on Saturday evening. This was a much improved performance by Derek Kelleher’s team . A red card (two Yellow) for  Matty Cox  early in the second half proved crucial as Annaduff led 0-5 to 0-4 at the time.Sean McNabola opened the scoring with a point . James Glancy equalised. The same two players exchanged the next two points.Glencar/ Manor then took the lead with a point with Cathal Cox and Sean McNabola getting two points for Annaduff before half time. Annaduff led at the break by 0-4 to 0-3.The second half started with points from Adrian Croal and Matthew Reynolds before Matty Cox’s dismissal.Croal then put the teams level with a point followed by five Manor points in succession. Sean McNabola then gave Annaduff a lifeline with a well taken goal however Manor got three more points before the end to run out winners by five points. Annaduff :Jim McCormack, Thomas Flanagan, Dean Gill,Ronan Conroy,David Duignan,Hugh Moylan,Dillon Kane, CathalCox (0-1),Daniel Duignan,Sean MCNabola (1-3),Matthew Reynolds (0-1),Eoin Gill, Kenny Cox,Matty Cox (Capt.).Subs used : Sean Duignan (for R. Under 16 League Final

Our U16s were unfortunately beaten by Glencar Manor on friday last in Leitrim Gaels grounds in the 13 a side league final.  Annaduff tailed 0.3 to 0.10 at half time the Annaduff men dug deep and give a very determined finish but it wasn’t enough to get across the line, Glencar Manor were deserved winners with full time 1,8 to 1,19

I am sure our lads will be a force to reckon with in the championship in september. Thanks to their Manager/Mentors Barry Guckian, Micheal Rowley & Tom Cronin for their work getting them to the final. Team line out as follows Shane Cox  Donal McNabola  Orran Newton  Cian O Loughnan  Daire Guckian (0,1) Eoghan Moylan  Sean Quigley (0,3) Capt.Conor Cronin (0,3)  Eamon Reddan, Adam O Hagan (0.1) Kyle Mulvihill Farrell, Micheal Cox (1.0) Colm Murray.  Subs used David Faughnan for Donal Mc Nabola  Daragh Flannagan for Eamon Reddan & Jamie Dolan for Kyle Mulvihill. Also ready for action were Colm Fitzpatrick & Johnny Harte who helped Annaduff reach the final.

Myles McDonagh Tournament

The Myles McDonnagh Tournment took place on saturday May 31st. We were the host club for the tournment this year, there  was a great turnout with approximately 75 children on a beautiful sunny day with teams from Monivea & Moylough from Galway, Gortletteragh and Annaduff.
A great days football was had by all in attendance.  A huge thanks to referees, mentors & managers on the day, to the ICA ladies and parents who donated sandwiches, buns etc also to both Fox & Mc Donagh families.
