Annaduff lose in Championship
We were beaten 0-10 to 0-9 by Drumreilly in Ballinamore on Saturday evening. Drumreilly opened up an early lead with two Nigel Maguire points.It was twenty minutes before Annaduff’s first point from Cathal Cox.Ray Cox soon brought the teams level. Maguire replied with two points . Conor Reynolds got the last point of the first half to leave Drumreilly leading 0-4 to 0-3 at the break.Annaduff started the second half brightly with points from Cathal Cox and two from Ray Cox.Ciaran Mitchell replied with a point for Drumreilly.Ray Cox got two points to give Annaduff a three point lead with fourteen minutes remaining.Drumreilly got the next two points.In the 52nd minute Kenny Cox pointed a free to give Annaduff a two point lead. This was Annaduff’s last score with Drumreilly getting three points in the remaining time , one from James Holohan and two from Nigel Maguire.This was a reasonable performance and it is all to play for against Allen Gaels. Junior “A” Defeat
We were beaten 2-11 to 1-7 by Melvin Gaels in Kiltubrid on Sunday last.Despie having lots of possession we were behind at half time by 2-5 to 0-3. Our three first half points came from Ronan McCormack with two and a Cathal Cox point.We staged a mini revival early in the second half with point from Michael Rowley and a goal and a point from Francis McNabola. This left the score 2-6 to 1-5 after 38 minutes. Melvin Gaels took over for the rest of the match and ran out easy winners. Francie Lynch Memorial Day
As part of the Gathering Celebrations , we had “The Francie Lynch Memorial Day” in the Park.Four teams took part Leitrim Gaels, St. Mary’s, Carrick, Bornacoola and Annaduff.There was a great turnout on the day with over seventy children playing football.
