Connacht Gold Senior Championship Quarter Final V Mohill ends in a draw
Annaduff looked to have booked a semi final spot as they were four points up into three of the allotted four minutes of injury time however a goal from John McGuinness and the equalising point from substitute Donal Flynn means a replay next weekend. The final Score was Annaduff 0-13 to Mohills 1-10. If this was a Boxing Match Annaduff would be declared winners on points as they were the better team over the 60 plus minutes however Mohill are a very skillful team with star performers in Ml. McGuinness and Shane Canning. In an evenly contested first half Annaduff led at the break by 0-6 to 0-5. Annaduff’s points in the first period came from Ml. Moyles with two and two from Ray and Alan Cox. Annaduff were awarded a penalty in the 26th minute, Sean McNabola hit the bottom of the upright with his well struck spot kick. The second half was equally well contested with Annaduff getting their points from Ml. Moyles with three and one each from Sean McNabola, Ronan McCormack, Alan Cox and Ray Cox.Despite only getting a draw Ml. Moyles and his selectors Gerry and Terry will be pleased with the all round impressive performance especially as Annaduff had three clear cut goal chances which they failed to convert, one from Ml. Moyles which resulted in a point , the penalty and a Joe Cox chance after been set up by Padraic Carroll in the second half.Annaduff : Kevin Ludlow,Conor McLoughlin, Dermot Reynolds,James Cox,Sean McNabola (0-1), David Duignan ( Capt ),Matty Cox, Ronan McCormack (0-1),David McHugh, Ray Cox ( 0-3),Michael Moyles ( 0-5) Cathal Cox, Alan Cox ( 0-3), Padraic Carroll, Joe Cox.
