FBD League Trophy
Big thanks to County Footballers Emelyn Mulligan and Ray Cox who brought the FBD League Trophy to our underage training session on Saturday morning.
Division 3 Win V Kiltubrid
In Annaduff on Saturday evening the second team got their first points of the year with a hard earned win over Kiltubrid winning by 2-7 to 0-8.After the hammering by Carrigallen this was a good performance. Kiltubrid were the better team in the first half and they deserved to lead by 0-6 to 0-2 at the break with the Annaduff defence in trouble against a fast Kiltubrid forward line. Annaduff upped their game in the second half and crucially got two goals from play anywhere Barry Daly in the 40th minutes and Niall Maxwell in the 55th minute. . Draw in Division 1
Annaduff and Ballinamore drew on a scoreline of 1-8 each in Ballinamore on Sunday. Sean McNabola saved Annaduff with a well taken goal in the 60th minute.Ballinamore had the better of the first half leading at half time by 1-6 to 0-3. Wayne McKeon and Shane McWeeney got the first two points for the home side.Kenny Cox then pointed two frees for Annaduff .Sean Murray, Liam Ferguson and Kevin Connor pointed for Ballinamore . In the 22nd minute Sean Murray got a goal for them . County minor Kenny Cox pointed from a free with Shane McWeeney finishing the first half scoring with a point to leave Ballinamore with a six point lead at the break.Annaduff were much better in the second half despite hitting some very bad wides.David Duignan got the first point of the second half for Ballinamore. Annaduff dug deep and scored the next five points from Dean Gill, Kenny Cox with two, a beauty from Dillon Keane and another from an in form Dean Gill.This left two points between the sides with five minutes remaining. Ballinamore looked to have the points when they got a point in the 57th minute before Sean McNabola’s well taken goal at the end.
