Family Day 2019: The 2019 Annaduff Annual Family fun day will take place on Sunday the 4th of August. This year our Club will be donating half the proceeds to Mental health awareness charity a lust for life as well as the Irish Cancer Society. Raffle tickets are currently for sale from Club members at a cost of €5 for 3 tickets. First prize : €500, Second: €150 voucher for Ganlys hardware, Third:€100 hamper sponsored by Sean Maxwell, Fourth:Meal for 2 at Lough Rynn, Fifth:€50 voucher for Homeland Mohill. Thanks to all our sponsors along with our main sponsor Masonite. Raffle draw will take place in Coxs Steakhouse Dromod on the 4th of August after the fun day. The hard working committee promise not to disappoint as with other years the usual fun activities as well as lots of new, more details in the coming weeks.

The Dunnes Bar D1 League: The Annaduff lads had two home games in the league last week. Gortletteragh first on Wednesday last. The Annaduff lads got off to a good start scoring 4 unanswered points, before Gortletteragh got on the board with a free, Another 2 points were added one from play by Eoin Gill and a free converted by Sean McNabola. Gortletteragh converted a free followed by a goal from the penalty spot in the 27 min which brought them back into the game. A point from David Duignan and another converted free to Gortletteragh left the score line level at the break Annaduff 0-7 Gortletteragh 1-4. The second half started with the Gortletteragh lads with a spring in their step converting the first 2 points from play, but after the first 10 min of play in the second half the Annaduff lads picked up the pace with points from Sean Mc, Sean Duignan, Eoin Gill, Gavin O Brien and a converted free from Sean Mc Nabola the Annaduff side looked like the two points were in the bag. A point from play for the Gortletteragh men followed by two points from Sean McNabola one from play and one from a free finished the scoring. Full time score: Annaduff 0-14 Gortletteragh 1-07.

The second Division 1 game Annaduff were home to Fenagh St Caillins on Saturday last. This game was always going to be a tight affair as both teams needed to get the 2 points to try and stay in Division 1 for 2020. The Annaduff lads knew they needed a good start and followed through with Sean McNabola getting the first two points from play, followed with a converted free for the Fenagh men. In the 6th min a super pass from Sean Duignan got palmed into the net by Sean Mc Nabola. He also Followed by a point from play. But as always from the Fenagh lads with 5 converted frees and 4 from play and 1 free convered by Sean McNabola left the Annaduff lads down at the break Annaduff 1-4 to Fenagh 0-10. The second half started with the introduction of Ray Cox for Nigel, and as you would expect instantly made an impact with two points from play followed by a free converted by Sean McNabola at 51st min which left the sides level. A converted penalty by Sean Mc in the 25th min. The Fenagh men came back with two points from play and one from a free, left the sides level again in the 60th min. A super converted free from Sean McNabola and Annaduff breaking down the Fenagh attack in the dying seconds of a very intense second half the Annaduff lads held onto the lead to win by the tightest of margins Full time score: Annaduff 2-09 Fenagh 0-14.

Kelloggs GAA Cúl Camp: The Annaduff Kelloggs Cúl Camp took place last week (8th – 12th July). In what proved to be another successful Cúl Camp and great week in Annaduff, we had 144 boys and girls taking part in this years camp. It was great for our Underage teams along with new children who joined our camp and learn the skills of our game in a fun-filled way. We would like to thank the camp co-ordinator Sean Gallagher, along with all the other coaches for the making it a Successful brilliant record breaking week.

The Newtowngore Engineering U17s Championship: Well done to our U17s as they won their first round in the Division 1 championship when Leitrim Gaels were the visitors to Annaduff on Monday last the 8th of July. Keep it going lads !!!.

Clothes collection: That time of year again Annaduff GAA are looking for unwanted Clothes. All types of clothes, shoes, old bags, belts, curtains, bed linen etc. Cant take duvets or pillows. Drop off to Annaduff GAA Ground on Saturday morning at 10am to 11am. Anyone that has bags to be collected we would be delighted to collect them for you. Niall Lyons 087 9852113. Sympathys: Annaduff GAA wish to pass on our sympathy’s to McNabola Family Carrick on Shannon following the recent death of Michael John McNabola Kilnagross, Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.
