Bord na nóg:
On Saturday last the 13th of April, Annaduff GAA took part in a festival of football to mark the beginning of the Under 9 blitz season in the Centre of Excellence in Annaduff. The boys had practiced this format on the previous week at training and could slot into their roles. A strong breeze and a hard pitch made conditions difficult for children and parents alike but the boys adapted to the conditions and played some sparkling off the cuff football.
The silent side-line rules meant the players had to think their way on the pitch without instructions from the side-line and their ability to do this was a revelation to the spectators and coaches.
We entered two teams for this competition.
We started off with a lively match against St Marys, took a break then played Dromahair and St Josephs. We then moved pitch to play Cloone and ended off proceedings with an encounter with Aughnasheelin.
All the boys enjoyed their day and eagerly await the next U9 Go Games in Annaduff on 27th April with St Marys.
U7s, U9s, & U11s Boys have started back training on Saturday mornings. Remember any boys in the Annaduff, Drumsna and Dromod area are more than welcome to come along Saturday morning at 10am have a look, try it out we would be delighted to see you. The Girls wont start for another few weeks details nearer to the time.
