Kiltubrid 1:8 Annaduff 0:14
Our first Division 2 outing of the season resulted in a good win away to Kilturid on Saturday.
Our hosts started the brighter and were denied a goal in the opening minutes by a fine save from Tom Flanagan, the goal was breached soon after however, Kilturid opening the scoring with a goal in the fourth minute. Eoin Gill opened Annaduff’s account after 8 minutes but Kiltubrid continued to have the better of the opening exchanges and led by 1:4 to 2 points after twenty minutes. Sean Duignan and Frank Mc added first half points to leave us trailing 1:6 to 5 at the interval. Annaduff stepped up a gear in the second half and played with more pace and intensity. Our defence held Kiltubrid to just two points over the closing half hour while points from Alan, Frank, Gavin, Eoin, Kenny and Sean moved the Annaduff return to 14 points.

Allen Gaels 1:11 Annaduff 1:10
Our second team lost by the narrowest of margins away to Allen Gaels on Sunday. Allan opened the scoring for Annaduff but Allen Gaels scored 5 points without reply over the following 7 minutes. With 10 minutes gone and Annaduff trailing by three, Adam O Hagan collected the ball in his own half, charged up the field at pace and blasted the ball to the back of the net to level the match. Conor Reynolds then gave Annaduff the lead but the Drumshanbo men continued to point from distance and added a goal after 20 minutes, by half time the margin was 5 points in favour of Allen Gaels. Like our D2 performance, our backs shut up shop in the second half and for 28 minutes conceded two points while Alan and Frank added 7 to tie the game with two minutes remaining.
