Annaduff V Kiltubrid in Division 1
This match on Saturday was transferred from Kiltubrid to Annadufff as Kiltubrid pitch was unplayable with Kiltubrid winning by 3-7 to 2-5 after leading at half time by 3-6 to 0-2. Kiltubrid managed by Dermot Washington from Kilglass Gaels ran riot in the first half scoring three goals the first from man of the match James Gill after 16 minutes. Killian McKeon got the second goal after 23 minutes with John Paul Donoghue getting the third on the stroke of half time. John Russells half time pep talk worked wonders as Annaduff were a different team in the second half and outscored their opponents in this period by 2-3 to 0-1. Annaduffs first half points came from a Kenny Bosquette free after 2 minutes and a point from play from Ray Cox after 20 minutes. After 36 minutes Ray Cox flicked the ball to the Kiltubrid net after a cross by Brendan Guckian. The second goal came from Enda McHugh from the penalty spot after a foul on himself. Both teams were understrenght but Kiltubrid were deserving winners and seem to be a very cohesive unit under Dermot Washington while John Russell will be happy with Annaduffs second half comeback after a very poor first half effort.
