Annaduff v Mohill (Division 1 )

Inspired by Sean McNabola who scored 1-8,we gained two very valuable points by beating Mohill by 1-10 to 1-8 in Mohill on Friday evening.Mohill got the first score with an Alan McLoughlin goal after 10 minutes followed by two Mohill points.Sean McNabola opened Annaduff’s account with a pointed free in the 15th minute.Mohill replied with a Padraig Tighe point . Sean McNabola then hit two in row.Alan McLoughlin pointed for the  home side in the 26th minute. Sean McNabola got two more points for Annaduff before the break to leave the score at half time : Mohill 1-4 – Annaduff 0-5.Sean Mc Nabola pointed in the 33rd minute followed by a David Duignan point.Padraig Tighe replied with two Mohill points before the crucial score a Sean McNabola goal after brilliant work from Matty Cox.Sean McNabola and Mohill exchanged points.Sean McNabola and Eoin Gill got two more Annaduff points with Alan McLoughlin getting a point for Mohill.Mohill hit the side netting in the final minute however Derek Kelleher’s side held out for a good win.Annaduff :Jim McCormack,Gary Bohan, Nigel Cox,Dean Gill,Matty Cox, Chris Farrell,Hugh Moylan,  Daniel Duignan, David Duignan (0-1),Kenny Cox,Cathal Cox,Francis McNabola,Matthew Reynolds,Ray Cox, Sean McNabola(1-8). At the draw held in Taylor’s of Drumsna, there was no Jackpot winner. The numbers drawn were 1,3,16,24.The 50 Euro winner was Eamonn Shanley, Finnelaughta. Annaduff v Gortletteragh (Senior)

In round 2 played in Cloone on Saturday we were beaten 0-12 to 1-6 by Gortletteragh. The first half was a close affair with Gortletteragh slightly the better team going in at the interval leading by 0-6 to 0-4.Daniel Duignan gave Annaduff hope with a well taken goal after 40 minutes however Gortletteragh weathered the storm to run out deserving winners.Annaduff :Jim McCormack, Nigel Cox, Chris Farrell,Gary Bohan, James Cox,Dillon Keane, Dean Gill,Matty Cox (Capt.),David Duignan,Ray Cox(0-2), Cathal Cox, Daniel Duignan (1-0),Kenny Cox, Sean McNabola(0-4), Eoin Gill. Annaduff V Gortletteragh (Junior)

Annaduff led by 0-12 to 1-3 after 54 minutes only to end up losing by a point in a very exciting Junior Championship match in Cloone on Sunday. The final score was Gortletteragh 3-5 to Annaduff’s 0-13.Annaduff started with the bare fifteen with Derek Cox coming in from the stand to replace the injured Alan Cox after 25 minutes.The first half was evenly contested with Gortletteragh leading at the break by 1-3 to 0-5. Annaduff had a great start to the second half building up a strong lead . Gortletteragh got the goals in the 55th and 56th minute to leave it 3-3 to 0-13. Gortletteragh got another point to draw level before scoring a point from a free with the last kick of the game.Despite the loss this was a fine performance from Micheal O’Dowds team.
