Junior “A” Championship V Glencar/Manor

Inspired by Gerry Newton Declan Shanley’s team scored a well deserved win over Glencar/Manor on a scoreline of 1-11 to 1-10 in Pairc Sean on Saturday evening.Annaduff went into an early three point lead with points from FrancisMcNabola,Joe Cox and Alan Rowley.Glencar/ Manor got the next three points . In the 16th minuteAnnaduff got a goal from Joe Cox after good work by Ronan Egan.Johnny O’Connor got a point in the 20th minute. At the break playing with the windAnnaduff led by 1-4 to 0-6.Brendan Guckian and Alan Rowley got the first two points of the second half. Manor got the next three points before Ml. Rowley scored a point from a free.Manor got a goal in the 50th minute to take a 1-9 to 1-7 lead .Annaduff dug deep and got points from Alan Rowley, Brendan Lynch, Joe Cox and a beauty from near the sideline from Ronan Egan.Glencar/ Manor got a consolation point in the last minute. At the draw held in Taylor’s, there was no Jackpot winner. The numbers drawn were 3,8,18,20.The50 euro winner was Kevin McWeeney, Drumlin. Division 3

We play Dromahair in Annaduff on this Friday evening in Division 3 at 8pm.

School League

Both of our school’s teams emerged victorious from their respective finals in Pairc Sean last Monday evening, well done to all players, coaches, parents and supporters.

Division 3 League

We were beaten by Gortletteragh in Annaduff  on Monday week  by 2-14 to 0-7.Gortletteragh were the better team and always looked winners against a committed Annaduff team.Gortletteragh led at half time by 1-8 to 0-4. Our first half points came from Niall Maxwell, Dean Gill, Ronan Egan and Gerry Newton. Our three second half points came from Michael Rowley, Brendan Lynch and Niall Maxwell.
